RDXC-2003 Minutes of Meeting
The jubilee 10th RUSSIAN DX CONTEST held on the 15-16 March, 2003, pleased us with very good propagation, with high radio amateur activity from Russia, as well as from all over the world. Participants were over 5000 stations who made from 2 to 3385 QSOs in 24 hours.
RDXC Committee got 1684 logs from 80 countries (compared to 1354 logs from 68 countries in 2002). This year a number of participants certainly increased, especially from Croatia, Spain, Moldova, Belarus, Italy, Japan, Argentina, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Brazil, Poland, Kazakh Republic, Ukraine and Romania. We received 868 logs from foreign participants and 816 logs from Russian stations. Russia was presented with 77 oblasts of total 92.
RDXC-2003 was even more interesting with the following DX stations and DX-peditions participated: RU9G (op.RW3TN), RN4ABJ/6(KM), UA6LP/6(KM), RW6HJV/P(AD), 3W2FM, 4U1ITU (op.RZ3AA), 4L6AM, 4M3B, 5B4AGC, 8Q7VR, 8P6AZ, 9H1ZA, 9V1YC, 9V1UV, A61AR, AP2IA, BW4/UA3VCS, BV7FF, D88S, BY1DX, CN8YR, CQ0BWW, CT3KU, CT3/DL3KWF, CT3/DL3KWR, DU4JT, E21EIC, EA6UN, EA6/DL6KAC, EK3SA, IS0IGV, HS0/OZ1HET, HL1/WX9C, HL5UOG, HK3JJH, LU1EWL, LX5A, PY1NX, SN75PRK, SU9NC, TF3AO, TI2KAC, TI3TLS, VK2APK, VK8AV, VU2NXM, VU3DJQ, YB0A, YM0T, YU8/9X0A, YW1D, ZA/UT7DW, ZF2NT, ZL1TM, ZS6RAE.
We received 1442 electronic logs (e-mails or diskettes). The number of these electronic logs increased by 1.4 times compared to RDXC-2002. There was 86% of total number of QSOs to be checked. Remained 242 paper logs were entered manually using special software. Great thanks go to RX3RZ, RA3RK, RU3RQ, RW9WA, UA9XC, and RA1ARJ for their assistance in this paper work.
RDXC-2003 logs processing was done by total computerized log inspection and followed-up software analysis of each QSO. All data of each QSO were checked. Reliable log models were created and analyzed instead of those logs not received by the RDXC Committee. 192 logs had systematic errors: time (local time instead of GMT), numbers, and modes.
All participants, along with their awards and certificates, will get booklets with RDXC complete final results, RDXC Committee Minutes of Meeting, RDXC 2004 Rules and other additional information.
All participants will get personal files which contain their results, separately by bands, modes; UBN list, and RDA list confirmed in RDXC-2003.
RUSSIAN DX CONTEST sponsors, Referee Board and RDXC Committee are grateful to all amateurs who participated in RDXC-2003 and sent their logs. We wish all of you great results and good luck!
We will be glad if you participate in the 11th International RUSSIAN DX CONTEST which is to be held on the 20th-21st March, 2004.
