RDXC-2001 Minutes of Meeting

The 8th International Dx Contest was held on 17th -18th March 2001. Organizers received 1252 logs from 61 countries, including 665 participants from Russia and 587 foreigner participants.

Total number of QSOs in logs was 1.168.112, this is 40% more than it was in 2000. 6332 stations took part in RDXC 2001, they made from 2 to 3106 QSOs. Radio amateurs from 121 countries and territories participated in RDXC 2001. Special DX-peditions were active during the Contest - A52CO (op RA9CO), A61AO (op RV6LNA), OT1T (op RA3AUU).

906 logs RECEIVED by E-mail or on discetts. About 80% of total QSO number contained in these electronic logs. Contest Committee thanks amateurs from St.Petersburg (R1A), Bashkortostan (R9W), Novosibirsk (R9O), Ekaterinburg (R9C) and Tambov (R3R) for typing paper logs in the computer. Such assistance is welcome from anyone and anywhere in the future.

RDXC logs processing and scoring were done by means of total computerized check of all logs, afterwords each QSO was analyzed. All data of each QSO were checked.

For RDXC 2001 scoring we used principally new technology of entering paper logs into computer. This technology practically allowed to prevent from possible typing errors, and the same time to find out possible typing errors at the entering stage. For each participant, according to his/her log (all log model), we created timeslot tables, wich allowed to check exactly the data verification of QSOs with those participants who did not send logs, or who made errors in calls and serial numbers. Mean data verification of RDXC 2001 results is 99,8%.

RDXC 2001 results, additional contest and scoring statistics will available at http://www.rdxc.org.

All participants, together with certificates will get brochures with complete RDXC 20001 results, Contest Committee`s Minutes of Meeting, RDXC 2002 Rules and additional information.

Each participant gets a file where he will find his/her confirmed RDXC 2001 results, separately by bands/modes, and a list of QSOs with all his/her and logged stations` errors (So called UBN list)

You can ask any questions about RDXC by e-mail: rusdxc@contesting.com.

We, RDXC sponsors and Contest Committee, are thankful to all amateurs who sent their RDXC 2001 logs and wish them further success and good luck.

We will be pleased if you participate in the 9th Interntational Rissian DX Contest, which is to be held on the 16th-17th March 2002.
